Caught a smile...or 2...or 3

Watch me grow...

Today Anna went for her 2 month doctor visit....and today she is 9 weeks old!

We saw Dr. Zach at the office and as soon as he walked in Anna turned her head towards him and showed him her pretty blue eyes. Check: can turn towards sound and focus eyes. Then Dr. Zach took us to the scale. 10.8 pounds! Check: gaining weight nicely. Back in the room Anna's length and head circumference was measured, 22 inches in length and head was 39 cm . Check: growing according to scale. After Dr. Zach left, it was time for the nurse to come and give some shots. Uh-oh! The nurse was super nice and gave Anna 3 shots and 1 orally. Anna was not happy but once she got Tazmanian Devil band aids put on and mama held her, all was good!

After the doctors visit we went to visit Gram at work. Anna was really tired from a long doctors visit but she opened her pretty blue eyes to meet some of Gram's friends at work. "Ooohhh how beautiful!!!" they all said. Gram was excited to tell them that she is going to be babysitting all next week for Anna, so she would not be at work. Wah-hoo!!

Here Anna is looking nice and big for 9 weeks.

Friday

After such a happy day with many smiles...none that I can catch on camera yet, we ended with some tummy time in which Anna was really lifting her chest off the ground. This is the best picture I could take, but there were some lifts that were amazing! She's getting so strong. I'm helping her roll over. Sometimes I'll get her started and roll her halfway, then she'll do the rest.

After a tired day of teaching, smiling and chasing lizards.....the Law family takes a nap....

Bed Time

Today Miss Calyn came to visit and brought Anna a new book....Baby Farm Animals. We decided to read it tonight for our bed time story. Anna's new favorite head position is to look left....ALWAYS! So I hope she was listening since she was obviously staring elsewhere.

Beach Baby

Even though we've been to the beach before, we decided to make a test run of a day at the beach with all the gear. Greg packed the car and I got the little peanut ready....no bathing suit today. It was a lovely day until the wind picked up and we were getting pelted by sand.

Anna didn't mind though as she was contently asleep the whole 3 hours we were there

When we got back to Gram and Pops house for a feeding, Anna decided to have bombs explode from her rear....what a mess! (I'll spare you all those photos). Just as Daddy got her all nice and clean and about to put on a new clean diaper, Anna decided to let loose with a massive pee and soak the whole changing pad and the pee covered her back up to her neck....see below

So we decided to dunk her in the bath tub....

Here she is....happy as a clam to be in the bath, getting all nice and clean

And so our day at the beach ended happily...I think we'll go again soon!
