Sunday

It must not be too sunny in the house

Anna's vocabulary

"Mom, can you please help me I'm having issues with my shoes."

"Mom, I'm going to shut Quinn's door while he eats so you can focus."

"I'm being patient. I ask once then wait."

"Mom, we need to put bwah bwah (aka quinn) to sleep"

A post from mama

Last night was glorious. I have not had a night of uninterrupted sleep in nearly 17 months. For the nine months I was pregnant it was either up every few hours to use the bathroom or being uncomfortable and not able to sleep because I had to be on my side and I hate sleeping on my side. And the for the past 8 months I've been up feeding Quinn. Well last night Quinn was asleep by 7:20, Anna by 7:30 and me on the couch asleep by 8;30. I slept allllllllll the way to 7:00! I know it sounds silly but I woke up feeling like a new person. Usually I wake up groggy, still yawning, etc. but this morning at 7 I was ready to go! Hooray for sleep.

A week in the Law House

Thursday
When I was little Aimee and I always woke up on Valentine's Day with surprises all over our kitchen table so I tried to do the same for Anna, I also put Quinn's name in the card even though he has no clue and all the goodies were for Anna.

When we got home from school we made heart pancakes and heart bacon, Mmmmmm, and an excellent way to get Anna to eat her dinner!

Here's Anna's Valentine that we made to give to her friends at school. Hooray for homemade Valentine's. I finally dumped all candy in the garbage tonight, sugar....GONE!

Saturday
Hooray for snow in NC! Anna and I went to Harris Teeter around 5:30 and it was raining hard, we had to run really fast into the store. An hour later we came out to HUGE snowflakes. Anna was beyond excited. We danced in the parking lot and then hurried home to share in the snow excitement with the boys. It's so much fun seeing her excited and happy.

Here are the other times it snowed in NC....

 Sunday Morning:
Chasing "Beautiful Headband Girl"

Tuesday:
Backtrack: Quinn crawled for the first time on Friday, February 1st, now he is motoring all around the house, never fuses to be picked up because he's too tired or can't follow us quick enough, he just moves! And stands up anywhere he can get a grip. He also moves along the couch when he's standing up.

All in this past week Quinn has also, began to wave, clap, talk ba-ba-ba da-da-da-da, pull himself up to standing, has a bottom tooth, and sleeping through the night. Why is it happening so quickly?!?!

Wednesday:
Anna's new thing after bath is to play dress up. Every night has been different and exciting to say the least.

Thursday:
98% of the packages that come to the house are for Anna, 1% are for Quinn, 1% are for me and 0% are for Greg. So today there was a package and I said to myself, "Another one for Anna?!" but NOPE, it was for Mama! I was so excited that I ripped it open and saw the Deluxe version of our favorite game Pick Two, awesome, so I open it up and....

I see cream puffs. Hmm...Cream Puffs? In a package? OK, wait a minute here, this is from MY GRANDMA....something must be up...

YES! This is what my Grandma does best, always keeps us guessing. And yes Grandma, I am the original "I love Peeps girl" but now I have to share my peeps with my little peep-ette. Thanks for the great package, a great way to end a Thursday.

And now, our lovely little ones sharing an apple, enjoy!

The next week ahead:
Planning Anna's 3rd Birthday!

Love her!

Greg

Cheering at his schools's pep rally...he said the kids were laughing so hard they couldn't hear the teachers cheer that they practiced so hard.

Tuesday morning

4:40 Quinn wakes up to eat

5:05 I put him back to bed as usual until 6:30 when I wake him to go to school

5:06 Greg and I hear Anna's footsteps

5:07 I see lights turn on at the other side of the house and roll over to tell Greg that I think Anna is going potty by herself

5:08 Still lying in bed waiting to hear the toilet flush and more footsteps

5:09 We hear giggles

5:10 Greg's alarm clock goes off and he goes to see what is going on

5:11 Greg finds Quinn's light on and both of them in his crib playing. Quinn wide awake. Greg takes her out and she has a fit. Turns his light off and shuts the door and he fusses.

Needless to say we had to have a chat with Anna this morning about when the right time is to go into Quinn's crib.....and 5:00 in the morning IS NOT IT !

Perfect Sunday

It's been so easy just to upload photos via my phone but then I always forget to go back write on the blog. Well it's official, we have a crawler on our hands. During the week, Quinn was getting pretty confident with sitting up, moving to all fours, then pushing himself back to sitting position. Thursday he began to pull himeslf up on the toy bin in our room. Well, Friday after we came home from work we were playing on the carpet as usual and Quinn began to move his arms forward when on all fours. We moved his toys away from him and he began to inch forward. Greg and I went out with some friends Friday night so Quinn and Anna had a sleep over with Gram & Pop. Saturday when we came home, Quinn was taking 2 or 3 movements forward and then flopping to his belly. This morning, ALL OVER THE PLACE! It's amazing. His favorite spot right now is under Anna's table. As soon as I put him down in my room on the carpet with his toy bin he crawls right out of the doorway and under the table.

Today was perfect. Kids slept til 7:30, Anna and Quinn watched cartoons while I made some yummy breakfast. Greg went for a run on the beach. Anna and I went to church. When we came home, I spent the majority of the day in the kitchen cooking and baking up lots of goodies.
Here are 24 sweet potato chocolate chip cookies with cream cheese frosting. (I still have SO many sweet potatoes left, don't know what else to do!)

Made Quinn some delicious food for Quinn...
Carrot Mac & Cheese
Apple-Cado
Papaya-Appple
and of course, Sweet Potatoes.
He is also eating egg yolks for breakfast, LOVES yogurt, and eats blueberries as fingerfoods.

We had a snacky afternoon with stromboli with pizza sauce, chips and queso dip, and broccoli-cheese cake thingy's.

Weekends are always great and we hate to see them end. Love being home with the fam. :)
