More birthday present fun

Happy 4th Birthday!

Well we woke up this morning with a 4 year old sleeping between us. I rolled over and said, "Happy Birthday Anna!" and she replies with, "you too mom!" Love her! 

We had her present sitting on the kitchen table with balloons tied to her chair and she didn't even notice it, we had to finally ask her i she saw anything special anywhere for her. Silly girl. She has never really understood that on birthdays people give gifts, so this year we are kind of getting that part of it. Daddy, Quinn and & got her a big My Little Pony,, a butterfly bag and of course some books. 

Daddy then took Anna & Quinn on a special aquarium & lunch date. I stayed home and prepared for the party. The weather held out for a while so we were able to relax on the deck for a bit before heading inside. Here is Anna and Quinn whacking away at the pinata and it finally broke - candy everywhere, even Uncle Chris dove for some.

And other cool outside gifts that we'll picture soon. Uncle Ralph & Aunt Kelly got Anna a grill to put outside her play house, very cool, will set up this wee.k. And the Hinrichs family got Anna an Ariel bathing suit complete with goggles and and necklaces, perfect for out upcoming Disney trip. 

And then it was cake time!

Happy Birthday to the best 4 year old we know! Love to to pieces! 

oh man....

I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face.... I'm looking at blog posts from March 2010 and I just can't believe that Anna is going to be 4 tomorrow. She is just getting so big, and beautiful, and smart, and out going, and so much more. 4 years ago we were headed to the hospital at this time and she was born right after midnight. Looking forward to a great day of celebration tomorrow for our lovely little girl.

Spring-like Saturday

Yesterday I got some kind of germs and had a terrible day at school and night. Luckily, after 14 hours of sleep, I woke up feeling somewhat better. Greg took the kids to soccer this morning with the help of G&P so I could sleep. When they got home, we were ready to venture out, the spring air was just what I needed, still don't feel 100% but I do feel better.

First stop, St. Pat's parade downtown...

Then lunch at Chick-Fil-A

And a great afternoon in our backyard doing crafts, playing neighbors, fixing stuff in the garage and completing the first step in our pinata for next Sunday!
