Our little bugger is 14 months old (yesterday). And what a character she is. Anna is such a little person, talking all the time, signing to us what she wants and more. We do need to learn more signs because she often whines or says "uh uh uh" when she doesn't know the sign or how to say what she wants. Everything that has 4 legs is referred to as a "woof woof" - ha! She loves to balance books on her head while sitting in her car seat. Anna will NOT let us feed her anything with a spoon, she MUST do it herself or it's not going to be eaten. She drinks loudly like her Dad, GULP GULP GULP GULP! Her feet smell so bad, like her Mama. We've just ordered 2 new pairs, hopefully that'll help. Currently she has strep throat so we're home today until she is not contagious any more. It's been a rough 3 days but I think we're on the mend. Here's a snap shot of Anna wearing her Phillies hat that she always want to wear. She's a "super cool dude" as Greg calls her.

Our Week
Monday:
Anna still loves getting under things and then sitting there. Here is Anna's favorite spot to go under. Her second favorite spot is under the table on the back deck and sit on the water tub that holds up the umbrella.
Tuesday:
Love, love, love the refrigerator. Whenever we open it to get something out she is on it like white on rice. We're getting really quick at grabbing what we need and closing it all in a matter of 2 seconds.
Wednesday:
7th tooth appeared. It's on the bottom left next to her middle teeth (I don't know the name of the teeth)
Thursday:
All about books. Anna loves loves loves books just like she likes the refrigerator. She signs the word 'book' when she's in her car seat and wants to read one. After bath she knows where to get a book and brings it to whomever is near by so they can read it to her before bed. She loves to turn the pages. And on our drive to school each morning she entertains herself with 2 of her favorite books. Every time I look back in the mirror I see her with a book in her hand (usually upside down) chatting away. Super cute!
Friday:
GGma and GGpop came back to NC for some more family time. They gave Anna 2 new books, a super cool place mat with her name on it, and this little black dog (Syd look alike). Anna wasn't too fond of it Friday night, but Saturday when we went back to see them she was super happy to hug doggie and also likes giving it water to drink.
Saturday:
Maly's 3rd birthday party. We let Anna have at it with her own cupcake. Happy girl. (Mama helped a bit!)
Sunday:
Eating yogurt all by herself for breakfast. Sooo coool!
And Anna's baptism.

Random
Lets see....
Today when I picked Anna up from school I was told 3 wonderful stories.
Story 1: Anna dances like a hippie. She LOVES the music and waves her arms around in the air like a free spirit. We've seen this many times in her car seat when a song comes on that she feels compelled to move to.
Story 2: Her new trick is to stick her finger in other kids mouths. Robin told me she was worried about her getting bit and I told her the story of how Anna recently wanted to drink from a real cup but was jerking her head so far into the cut that she bumped her teeth and cut her lip and then didn't want anything to do with a real cup. I told Robin that if it's OK, let her get bit by another kid and she'll learn real fast that her finger doesn't belong in other peoples mouths. The good thing from all this, she learns quick!
Story 3: Elli and Anna are like 2 old ladies. They sit in the corner on these 2 soft cube things and just babble talk to each other. Robin said it's hilarious, they just sit and chat like girlfriends. I know how cute and funny it is to hear Anna talk to herself while she's playing or talking to Sydney, I can only imagine 2 13 month olds talking to each other. I hope they're friends for life.
Other Life Happenings:
When we ask Anna, "Where is______" she looks around and points to the person or in the direction. Greg was in the shower tonight and I asked Anna, where is Daddy? and she pointed to our room and proceeded to walk into the room and then towards the bathroom. When we ask her "Where is Sydney?" she usually looks around and slaps her leg for Sydney to come.
The other afternoon when Greg came home from work, I told Anna Daddy was home and she took off for the front door and squeals, "Dad-EEEEEE!" Super cute!
Tonight Anna did the sign for 'please' and 'bath'. Will try to get on video.
And last but not least, I think we are going to have a runner on our hands sometime soon. Last night when Pop left the room, Anna took off like a bolt of lightning. Greg and I just looked at each other and said, "did she just run?... oh boy!"
Here are some pics from the weekend:
