Fixing with a hammer

Quinn decided today that he was done "fixing" things in his room with his toy hammer and that instead he was going to "fix" his friends. Needless to say, there was a time-out for "fixing" a friends stomach and another friends head.

Lately, we've been finding Anna doing things all by herself or for Quinn without asking for help.

1. Got her chair, opened the fridge, got the milk from the top shelf, poured milk for herself and Quinn and put the milk back in the fridge. They came out with cups of milk and I said, where did you get that?, Oh, I did it mom. 

2. Last night in the bath, Anna says she has to potty, so I told her to just get out carefully and go then hop back in the tub. Well she comes out into the living room about 3 minutes later all naked so I asked her, "What are you doing?" and she says, "Mom I just wanted to come tell you that I'm cleaning up the floor." 

So we go back into the bathroom and I come to find out that Quinn has also climbed out of the bathtub after seeing Anna climb out to potty. Quinn not only wanted to climb out too, he also wanted to pee. Soo......knowing what boys do, Quinn holds onto his peepee and begins to pee all over the bathroom. So Anna does what any responsible almost 4 year old would do, tries to help him on the potty to pee, but can't get him up, so get the towel and begins to clean up the bathroom. 

3. This morning, here she is trying to make a  "see-saw" so she can climb up to get on her swing.

Anna's been playin on the starfall website a lot lately, singing songs, reading books, letter games, etc. so this morning she finds the calendar section and is building a February calendar with birthdays and holidays and then says, "mom, are we getting ready for beaver day?"

Valentine's Day

You would think tomorrow is Christmas morning the way Anna is acting. She can't contain herself. I really hope her day amounts to everything she hopes it'll be. Yikes!

Cupid

Anna: Mom, we played a game today, if Cupid says to do it, you follow the direction, but if Cupid doesn't say to do it, then you don't. If you do it and Cupid didn't say, then you are out.

Me: Neat. But hold on, who is Cupid?

Me: Oh.

Quinn's dinner: A fruit cup, 2 pieces of pizza, 1/2 cup of carrots, cup of milk, cup of yogurt, and was still asking for more. Note to self: up the grocery bill allotment.
