My new arrangements

Since I learned to pull myself up, Daddy lowered my crib tonight. Here I am testing it out.

And here I am at the real night-night time. It was fun before, but now the lights are out and I want to escape, but this is all I can muster up. I'm going to have to practice some more. Maybe I can get on my feet for the morning time, wouldn't that be a nice surprise for my Mama and Daddy!

Hi Nanny!

Dear Nanny,
This is me talking to you on the phone tonight. I was listening to every word you said. You can see the books I opened in the background. The book that Mommy read to me tonight was such a good book. I picked it because it was Daddy's book. Thanks for the wrapping paper treat too, it was soooo yummy! Was is strawberry? It tasted like it, I ate it all up! I'll talk to you again soon and see you in a few weeks.
Love, Anna

Thanksgiving

What an awesome Thanksgiving week with family....a true blessing....
Here's the mountain cabin we stayed in. It was WAY back in the mountains, what a cool feeling

We went hiking...
It wasn't the widest of trails, so unfortunately Anna got swiped in the face by a branch or two, but was happy to have some battle scars to show her friends at school tomorrow

Sydney even went hiking too....she is a true mountain dog, loved every minute of it.

Daddy did a great job of hiking under, over, through, around, on his belly, on his bottom during our hike to keep his precious cargo safe. Anna was tired after all of Daddy's hard work.

Here is Anna's first Thanksgiving. It was a challenge to get us (7) around this tiny little table, but we did it! Anna had sweet potatoes, prunes and apples and a cookie. On my first TG my mom and dad let me crawl on the TG table. We were going to try that with Anna, but the table was a bit small. She did her crawling around the rest of the house.

Anna saw her first black bear... so cute she said

She learned how to pull herself up...watch out now

Got to wear a warm snowsuit...brrrrr, it was in the 30's!

And had an wonderful time spending every minute with family. What a life!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

We put the princess down for bed, turn around and see this.....!!!
When the heck did she learn this??!?! Greg and I just couldn't help ourselves and laughed...which then led Anna to laugh, she thought it was sooo funny. We then tried to lie her back down and she flipped right over, crawled to the side and got right back up, laughing! She thinks it's a game.  We eventually just left her there and shut the door, who knows what she did next but it took her another half hour to finally fall asleep. What a nut!

Saturday

Today was fun because our little girl is growing up right before our eyes.
We headed to the beach for our first family photo shoot. A friend from school takes pictures for a hobby and offered to do some pictures for us for the holidays. We started at the beach and got some nice shots until we decided that it would be a cute shot to sit Anna near the top of the dune. All was great until  she began to tumble down the hill. Sand EVERYWHERE! After that we just had a cranky baby, and had to pick sand out from every orifice on her face. Sorry Anna. Once all was calmed down we headed to the park which was decorated for Christmas and took some family pictures there. Hopefully we'll have the pictures before Thanksgiving. Will post when available.
When we got home we just hung around the house. But rather than putting Anna in her jumperoo she was insistent on being free. So we placed her on the ground and low and behold, we have a speed demon on our hands. She crawled all around the kitchen, from Mommy to Daddy and then back and forth 10 more times. She then followed us into the bedroom, then followed Daddy into the bathroom and over to the tub...back out of the bathroom. When we went to lie on the bed, Anna was content on the floor, crawling all around, trying to get books off of the nightstand, her stuffed animal off the rocking chair, being nosy into the closet and so on. What a busy girl! So this is what she does at daycare all day? No wonder when we bring her home she has no interest in crawling and just wants to be held at night, she's already had a busy day crawling with her friends.
Since she was super busy she ate like a growing girl. 1 cube of pumpkin/mango, 1 cube of acorn squash, 1 container of prunes/apples, a full container of peach yogurt and a cookie for dinner. Go Anna!

What a great helper

This is fun! Mama zoomed me all over the house in the laundry basket. Then it all tipped over on the bed and we all fell out...whee!!!

Life

Here I am hanging out on the slide.

I don't really care for toys or playgrounds, I'd much rather eat cell phones, remote controls and car keys.

I'm getting big, I have 2 teeth on the bottom. Go me!
Oh yeah, and I can crawl. I don't really like to because I get tired. I'd rather lie on my back and have my Mama or Daddy pick me up.
That's my life.

Then we headed to the beach for the kite festival....so many kites to watch. Here is the one we liked best....can you guess what it is?

And here we are happy as a clam to be at the beach on November 7th.

Another Reason....

why weekends are the best...
Why is Anna in a winter hat and sweatshirt? We haven't turned the heat on yet and it's a bit chilly in the house. Don't worry, we turned it on tonight....no ones wearing hats anymore.

And playing Peek-A-Boo with the couch cushions.

Menu for this week:
1. Organic Pumpkin with Mango
2. Acorn Squash
3. Organic Yogurt Meals

Weekend Mornings are the Best!
