**Just found this in my drafts box, don't know if it was ever posted, but thought I'd post anyway.**

Hey Anna, whatcha got?

Oh hey Ma, just 4 hotdog buns

She was NOT happy when we tried to take it away. Very quickly, we broke off one and handed it back to her, in which she devoured the entire bun. Lovely.

Bike Conversation

Anna: I want to go for a bike ride
Me: OK- we can go get your little pink bike and ride it in the driveway
Anna: No, we can't get the pink bike, my big one in the garage (she wants Daddy's bike with the seat on the back)
Me: Well, where will Quinn sit?
Anna: Him stay home
Me: Who will watch him?
Anna: Sydney

Special Visit

What a great week we just had with Nanny and Nonny. We had so much fun together, every day filled with fun and excitement. It was great to just spend time together, enjoy Quinn and let Anna spend some quality time showing Nanny and Nonny EVERYTHING that she can do (including being the boss of everyone - we're working on the bossiness!)

Anna was thrilled to show Nanny and Nonny what she has been learning at Gymnastics each week...

Nanny was thrown back in time holding her "Little Gregory" - such love!

Anna shared her beautiful guitar songs with us all....Oh! And got some beautiful new red "pail polish"...

Which Daddy so nicely let her paint his nails with - what a dad!

We went to the Children's museum and Anna has a blast playing in the grocery store, her most favorite place

Anna was SPOILED this week, here she is having a Whoopie Pie for lunch. We told her not to get used to this and that this special treat is only when Nanny is in town. Anna got to go back to school shopping and her dresser drawers are chock-full of new clothes and shoes for school this upcoming fall.

We enjoyed a concert at the park, baptizing Quinn, hanging with Great-Grandma, going out to dinner, getting ice cream, going to the farmers market, having a pizza party, and so much more! Anna was upset she couldn't go on the airplane today with them, so we told her that when she's 5 we'll go on an airplane - she seemed OK with that for the time being. We miss you already Nanny & Nonny!

Conversation

Anna: Mommy, I go to Gram and Pop's house.
Me: Anna, they're getting ready to go to bed
Anna: I go. I wake them up.
Me: Anna, they need to get to bed and rest, they have work in the morning.
Anna: I go to Gram and Pop's house and wake them up. It's my job.
Me: Anna....
Anna: You take me there? I go wake them up and play toys upstairs. It's the rules.
Me: -quiet-.....Well how are you going to get there?
Anna: I drive.
Me: Anna, it's raining out, it's not safe to drive tonight in the rain.
Anna: Mommy, we go quick. I drive. C'mon. You ready?
Me: -quiet-
Anna: C'mon Mommy, I have my pajamas (she has a pair of pants and 2 pairs of socks packed up to go), I all ready. It's my job to wake them up.

This conversation continued on for a good 20 minutes.....I could not stop laughing, she had it all planned out and had something to say for everything I said.....hilarious!

In Response from the GG's:
All I can say after seeing the last blog is.......Hide the car keys, get new locks on your doors and tie an ID tag around that childs neck.... She is sooooooooo smart we can't believe  it.  Her 18 year old brain is trapped in a 2 year old body!!!!!  Where does she get all those thoughts and ideas...Dad and I were cracking up with laughter about some of her plans and conversation s!!!! Just think....if Anna does graduate from high school when she is 12 it will make all the newspapers and someone will come forth and want to pay her entire college fees plus grad school, masters degrees, doctorates etc. etc.  In the meantime make sure you lock all your doors where she can't reach the keys......

What do you think?

Life is going great, we are enjoying the summer, Quinn is such a good boy. If I had to find a flaw, it would be that he's just like his daddy with food, as soon as hunger hits it's time to eat or it's grumpy/crying time. Greg will civil for about 5 minutes while he's hungry, Quinn will maybe be civil for 5 seconds before screaming ensues. Other than that, he's perfect!

When it's 106 degrees outside...

and you're trying to make dinner

Me: "Anna, what are you doing?"
Anna: "Mommy, I hang out"

Quinn's first bath, with Anna of course

Anna-isms
"Mommy, I put this right here - it's my job"
"Your phone is calling"
"No, I don't need it, we have plenty"
"Uh-huh, I'm supposed to"
"Flashlight....over there.....I told you" (talking to me, we don't own a flashlight)
Me: "Where's Daddy?"
Anna: "Out back on the front porch"

Summer Fun!

Hooray! Summer is going great, we've been to concerts at Wrightsville Beach with friends and family, been to the beach many times, Quinn is only 2 weeks old and is already a beach bum, and have thoroughly enjoyed being a family of four.  Aunt Aimee and Uncle Chris came to visit for the week and made us jump for joy when they told us they are moving here in August, YIPPEE! Nanny and Nonny are coming in 2 weeks, we can't wait! We took Quinn to the doctor for his 2 week check up and he's a very healthy boy, almost 8 lbs!

Anna enjoying Aunt Aimee's beach hat.
Thanks GG's for the Cover-up, Anna wants to wear it ALL the time!
