Sass-pot

How does a child learn a third option? By that I mean, after Anna wiped all the letters off the fridge, I asked her to please clean them up, which was followed by an abrupt "no", got down on her level, got her eyes, told her she can either clean up the letters or sit in time out, you need to listen to mommy, her choice "I go play with bugs". Sorry sister, that was not one of the choices. Then later on she doesn't like something or other, I really have no idea what but it was "NO! NO MOMMY!" --> time out, not happy. Later it was "you ugly", seriously???? The other night at the beach she had her mouth wide open going "ahhhh" trying to bite me because she was mad about who knows what. Where does this all come from???? Is it just 2? Obviously we don't talk like that at home. Coming from school? Frustrating to say the least. We feel like we're always trying to diffuse a situation before she blows , gets sassy, hits, whatever. Man it's tiring!

Weekend

Since Anna decided to Sharpie her fingernails this morning....

We had to go out and finally buy some little kid safe nail polish ("Pail-Polish")

And a great way to end the weekend, dinner at the beach

Oh, and "making bruder-sister nice"

More backyard

Greg took off a piece of the fence so we could easily access the sandbox and clothes line area.....

Pop brought over the swing set since it would get more use here, that way he also has room for a new shed in his back corner

Mind of her own...

Waking up Anna in the morning: "Nooooo, go away!"

Arriving at school: "Mommy, you come in?" Of course Anna, what do you think I'm going to do, drop you at the front door with your cup and say have a nice day?

6:10 am:  "Look Mommy, I do sunscreen too"

Project #3

Just need sand

Anna
Car seat = sar ceat
"Mommy, this is my friend Grandma"
Everything is, "I can" & "I wike it/that"
REALLY working on "May I please _______" it's difficult
She tells people that she pee pee's in the potty but she doesn't
We were singing Hakunah Matata and she yells, "No mommy, you too big, only Daddy and Anna sing"

Mommy:
Hot, big, tired, out of breath, crying, snotty, massive charlie horses, dealing with cirque du soleil tryouts each evening, sleepless nights, cleaning out/organizing everything, people telling me I'm not going to make it, that I've dropped, LEAVE ME ALONE we have 5 more weeks to go!, starting to recall the pain of labor (ugh), what do I need to do before this baby comes? are we really ready?

Daddy:
Dealing with Mommy's craziness

Baby:
BUSY!

Backyard Project - Weekend #2

OK, so here's the sod....all 5 pallets worth. The sand area in the back is going to be our flower/plant bed to work on over the summer. Thanks to everyone who slaved in the heat to get this done.

This is my summer project. I'm building a sand box in the middle there, and then planting a flower bed around the outside of the grass. I'm also putting up a L shaped clothes line lining both fences.

32 Weeks. Baby is about 4 lbs and taking up A LOT of space!
