We were so excited to have Aunt Kayla and Uncle Matt come visit us from PA. We were able to spend Friday Saturday and Sunday with them.
They loved being able to meet Quinn and play with him all weekend - he sure kept them busy.
And Anna loved playing dress up with Aunt Kayla. Aunt Kayla even let Anna have one of her chap sticks which Anna wear everyday now.
Anna has Uncle Matt wrapped around her finger, she asked him for 5 pieces of bacon at breakfast and he jumped right up and went to get it for her. Greg put the stop to that! ha!
Anna got to share good news with Aunt Kayla and Uncle Matt about how well she's doing in soccer.
Wow, preparing for three was fun! Thursday night Anna and I made cupcakes, sorry, PINK cupcakes for her class on Friday. She had a great day at school celebrating with her friends.
And our little man turned 9 months. He is a monster, crawls, climbs everywhere.
Friday night, Greg and I put pink balloons all over her room for when she woke up.
And got the table set up for the morning,
Yay! The Cat in the Hat!
Saturday afternoon we all went bowling
Go Daddy Go!
And Anna who insisted on doing everything herself which mean both turns took F-O-R-E-V-E-R
Good time had by all.
We came back to the house and had dinner with the Gram, Pop, Aunt Aimee, Uncle Chris, Donna, Jamie & Jack. Then is was time for CAKE! YUM!
And PRESENTS!
"OK, when's it my turn?"
Anna got some awesome dress up clothes, a few pretty dresses and outfits, a new purse for church, a Disney princess cupcake game, princess playing cards, and a princess sticker book.
Today we went to Elli's birthday party - the girls are 2 days apart - and here is Quinn in the middle of all the girl fun.
Great weekend! And we get to celebrate next weekend with Nanny & Nonny.
Anna's been in our for the past two nights because we aunt Kayla and uncle Matt are staying in her room. Last night she would not sleep on her mattress, well actually she wouldn't go to sleep period, so I ended up going to bed with her in our bed. Tonight we put her on her mattress and she was out like a light because if no nap so I finally go in to check on her and she sneakily climbed up into our bed to fall asleep. Silly goose.
Soccer update: Thursday at practice Anna cried hysterically the whole time which made her throw up all over herself and Greg. The coach tried to roll a ball to her and she just cried and cried. And wouldn't have any part of it. This morning she had her first game so I had to wake her up at 7:30 (she was sound asleep from the story above) and was NOT happy about being taken out of bed, when I told her it was because we had to go to a soccer game she was really not happy, "I already did that!!!" So I had to explain that was practice and this is a game. Finally got her dressed and out the door, we stopped for McDonald breakfast to hopefully ease the morning. Once we got there we found the field, got the uniform shirt and met some friends. I told Anna that she could just watch for a few minutes but then had to get out there and she was ok with that. When I told her it was time to get in the field she told me "2 minutes is not up yet". Ugh! Finally made her go out there and she did and just stood for the whole game. She sat with the team for halftime and had a water break and when they went back on the field she just stood in the middle and watched. At the end I told Anna I was very proud of her because she didn't cry or "spit up" as Anna added in, and that she was on the field the whole time. She was very happy. Coach Travis and I decided that maybe on Thursday or Saturday we will try to add one more thing, maybe running or kicking but that progress has been made and that's what is important.

Happy early birthday to me! Thanks to everyone who Greg collaborated with to get me the new set of dishes that I fell in love with on our vacation to the mountains. I've been dreaming about them since January but never could justify spending more than $30 on dishes, then one night Greg said, "Em, go online and order what you want." I said ,"What, huh?", "Just do it, click order." Well I didn't argue and it all came today! Greg played with the kids so I could unpack it all and put it away. I purged EVERYTHING in our cabinets. They are stoneware and nice and heavy and oh so pretty. If anyone knows me and mom you will probably say, "oh my gosh, you are totally your mothers daughter" yup, that's right, blue and white (or tan), something mom would pick out. Now, I can add pieces each year. So many other nice pieces on the website that will go perfectly as our family grows.
Here's our nightly game of Hungry Hungry Hippo
Sorry Quinn, you just watch tonight. Last night he though it would be fun to be godzilla and crawl all over the game and eat the pieces so tonight he was confined.

When Quinn is the only child in the world who doesn't eat macaroni and cheese we'll all know why...his mother made him eat 6 trays full when he was 8 months old.
