Day Trip #1

Well we got this really cool book from Mom & Dad this Christmas, perfect for us. We decided to try out one of the trips today, Route 28: Land of the Longleaf Pine: Through the Green Swamp.

We drove for quite a ways out into the middle of farm land. It was a beautiful ride and Anna took a nice long nap as we drove towards Lake Waccama. Here were are getting ready to "see the diverse nature and scenery of the southeast"...Lake Waccama State Park.

Very nice, and Sydney leading the way.

After visiting the lake we went for a nature hike through the woods. It looks like a great place to visit during the warmer months, but we enjoyed being outside and hearing the snow crunch under our feet as we walked through the woods. Anna has a great time and of course Sydney did too. Onto planning day trip #2.

First Christmas

OK....so here are a lot of pics. It was such a great day, I can't believe it's over already. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family both near and far! Love to all!

Christmas Eve...setting out Santa's goodies, Anna decided to try them before she went to bed.

Mommy and Daddy relaxing by the fire enjoying probably our only Christmas Eve that we have nothing to do, build, or get ready for.

Waking up Christmas morning and opening her stocking in bed. Full of onesies, blankets and books. All from her room!

Then onto round two when Gram & Pop arrived.

After a ton of other gifts that were opened, this is the aftermath. Happy Day!

I can take things off

Here I am trying to get this hat off.

Yes! Did it!

The bib was EASY! Mama put it on me 4 or 5 times and with no trouble at all I just pulled it off each time. Finally she got the hint and didn't put it back on.

I tried my hardest to get these socks off but they just won't come off. I'll try again tomorrow.

Christmas Present Part II

FINALLY!!! It's all done! Toy box for Christmas is ready to put under the tree. I hope Anna likes it.....well actually I know she likes it because she's been crawling all around it, pulling up on it and dropping things in it all this week.

9 months is fun!

9 months old tomorrow and we love it! Anna is so animated, laughs and giggles, chatters up a storm and is such a love bug. She is a speed demon and crawls all over. She also pulls up on everything she can get her little hands on. Anna is very curious and wants to get into everything she sees. If she's being held she will lean her body all the way over so she can see what's going on.

Yesterday we had a play date with her friends Maly & Elli. It was a lot of fun watching her play and chase Maly around the house. Now we know what she does at daycare all day. Here are some pics of Anna playing and sharing her toys in her room.

She is also a climber. Climbs the couch, on the bed, over people, anywhere she can get her little legs. Every morning this break we enjoy laying in bed for about an hour together and she just plays between Greg and I. What a way to wake up!

And then this....Anna sleeps like a rock lately from all her playing. She is so busy all day that she eats and sleeps like a champ. This is our favorite sleeping position. Tushy high up in the air.
