Last days of Summer....

Mama and Anna playing on the front lawn. I thought this pic was cute but Anna's eyes are a bit sad and red because she's having tummy issues. 

And finally the time has come....Anna's first night in her own crib..... in her own room ....on the other side of the house! Oh man was Mama a mess! She started out facing the other way on her back. I came in and she was turned around with her head the other direction and on her back. I had to flip her back over. I guess she's enjoying all the room she has now to flip flop around. We'll see how the first night goes..... *tear, tear*

6 Months Old!

Anna was 6 months old on Thursday! I can't believe she is getting so big. Today we went to the doctor and our little sweet girl is a whopping 15 lbs 2 oz and 25 inches long. She did a great job and got another round of shots, including her first flu shot. Here is Anna posing for her nakie shot at Grandma and Pop's house. (We're living here for 4 days while Daddy is in NY)

6 Months........

Anna likes to play with toys, anything that can fit in her mouth, well...actually size doesn't matter, as long as she can bring it close enough to her mouth to gnaw on. 

She loves sweet potatoes and bananas mixed together.

She has the snots constantly because of daycare, but is such a good girl.

 Hates to get her nose wiped.

Likes to practice sitting up.

Loves to stare at people.
Bending upside down to look at people.

Is a rollie pollie ollie....all over.

And...LOVES HER FEET. For some reason, I've been waiting forever for her to find her feet, and she finally did this week! Now she can't get enough. I guess the next step is putting them in her mouth.

So for now, we're enjoying every little moment with our 6 month old beautiful girl!

Crazy.....

.....I started to watch the O'Rourke kids when Aidan (left) was 5, Nell (middle) was 3 and Desmond (right) was 5 months old. Now, they're grown!!!! and holding my little baby Anna, 5 months old. 

On the move....

Last night Anna was fussing a bunch....couldn't figure out what was up since she usually sleeps pretty well. As I finally got my eyes open and looked over.....there she was, propped up on her little hands, she had flipped over onto her tummy, and surprised herself because she didn't know what to do. I gave her a few minutes to see if she would go back to sleep or roll back over, but no luck, so I helped her onto her back. Sometime later in the night, she did it again! The third time it happened, I brought her to bed with me! I think she's getting too big or too uncomfortable in the pack and play, so.....I think we might try the crib soon :( She's getting to be such a big girl.....sitting up, rolling over both ways, flopping all over in the middle of the night.....slow down! 

Man, I love the weekends....

Labor Day Weekend

I had SO much fun this weekend. My Daddy was off for the whole 3 days so we spent the entire time together! On Saturday Mama and me made pancakes and bacon for Daddy when he came home from surfing. After I took a nice long nap we packed up the car and headed to the beach with Gram & Pop. After the beach I got to see my new toys that Gram & Pop bought me, I love this shape toy, look at me eat it! Mama and Daddy said that we could sleep over but I wasn't allowed to stay up for the bonfire & S'mores, maybe next year. But I did get to sleep in my own crib there in my own room, I felt like such a big girl!

On Sunday we woke up and had breakfast with Gram & Pop then headed home. We just hung out for the day. Sydney bothered me as usual but I got her back when I grabbed both of her ears and she squealed REALLY loud, I don't think I hurt her though. In the afternoon we went back out to a baby shower and BBQ at our friends house. 

When we woke up this morning I thought I had to go to school but Mama said that we all had the day off! Yay! Daddy went food shopping and Mama folded clothes....all while I rested my pretty eyes. Once I woke up I asked if we could go to the park and feed the ducks and Mama and Daddy said YES! We walked around the lake, smiled at people and then fed the ducks. I wanted to go swinging but couldn't find a swing that would keep me safe. Oh well. 

After the park, we went out to dinner with my friend Ellie & Maly. I was on my best behavior but did a little spitting at the dinner table, I just couldn't help it. Once we got home, Mama gave me 3 dresses to choose from because tomorrow is picture day at school! I'm not going to tell you which one I picked, you'll have to wait and see! Then I ate some cereal and bananas, took a nice warm bath with Daddy, ate some milk and went to bed in one of my new big girl jammies. What a GREAT weekend I had! Zzzzzzzzz

Sick

Well... the time has come, a lot sooner than I had hoped for...Anna's first "cold".  I'm not really sure if you can call it a cold, but  she is just full of snot! Poor little thing. She sounds like Darth Vader all night long.  When she wakes her nose is all crusty and then during the day, it's just running out of her nose onto her lips. So sad looking! The good thing is that she's still eating (besides having a hard time sucking & breathing through her nose) and sleeping great. Hopefully it'll be gone soon. What a little trooper! Sweet dreams pumpkin pie!
