Is it over already?

Man, we love the weekends. Every Sunday night we get bummed because it's time for another week of work. Don't get us wrong, we love our jobs, but spending time with family and friends is much more enjoyable. Friday, Greg took a half day in the morning and took Anna to the doctors because she was still running a low grade fever and not eating, come to find out she has had strep this whole week. Wonderful! Anyway, she was put on an antibiotic and was ready to go out to dinner with Gram and Pop by the evening time.

On Saturday, we had our friends Jake's 1st birthday party to go to. Anna had a blast....with the food that is. From the moment we walked in she saw the appetizers and sat at the table and ate and ate and ate. When it was time for dinner, she ate even more. We finally were able to pry her away for gift opening and some play time. But once it was cake time, she was back at the table ready to eat again.

Sunday, we were awoken by the usual, "Mama......mama......" but after we didn't answer her, it was, "MAAAAAMAAAAAAA!". Attitude! We went to Mayfair early in the morning and were obviously the only ones not in church but rather trying to shop. Oh well. Here was our big purchase, we've been having some fits lately and Greg and I are trying to figure out what they're all about. This is foreign territory to us. So we'll begin to read this and see if we can at least know what's ahead of us. We also bought Anna her first piece of Patagonia wear....check out the hat!

When we got home it was nap time, Anna slept for about an hour and the woke up, so Greg took her on the couch and they both fell asleep again for another hour. I wanted to take a picture so bad but they were just so cute and peaceful that I didn't want them to wake up. Then it was time for some much needed home cooking and baking. Gram and Pop came over for the afternoon and brought pumpkins so we could carve them with Anna. Anna enjoyed filling the pumpkins back up with all the pulp. After we set them on the porch ready for Halloween (by the way, still won't go anywhere near her cow costume) we enjoyed some yummy food together and then some peach pie with ice cream. What a great way to end a weekend.

School Pictures

So here they are....Anna's fall school pictures. They had a white wicker chair for the kids to sit in but she wasn't having it, so I guess they plopped her on the ground. From what I heard I was expecting horrible pictures, no smile or anything, but this is pretty good, we'll take it! Of course they charge a million dollars for one pictures, so I just scanned them in at work and uploaded them to snapfish so we can get a normal price for her pictures.

This week in school Anna's lessons say, "Swinging arms while running & learning to make faces in the mirror." Super cute! We practiced the running today on the front lawn but she was insistent on carrying 2 small pumpkins so it didn't work out so well.  Anna also has her first school party coming up on Halloween, Greg and I got to sign up to bring something, we were very excited to buy some juice boxes!! They can also wear their costumes but as of today, Anna is not going anywhere near her cow suit. She'll touch it but if I ask her if she wants to put it on, she says "No" and begins to walk backwards away from it all. We have another week to work on it, so we'll see what happens.

She has been a human garbage compactor lately, eating everything in sight. All she says is, "eat eat eat". She downs banana's like crazy and tonight ate a whole bowl of chili with rice, some corn bread, a slice of cheese and then another whole cheese stick...and a full glass of milk. She is absolutely our child, Greg and I can pack away some food!

The wedding last weekend was just perfect. Anna was such a good girl and enjoyed spending time with Dad walking around the city, going to new parks, swimming in the hotel pool and eating out for every meal while I spent time with Aim doing all things bridal. The only issue we had was Anna waking up at 5:30 every morning asking for "Mama...Dada....Mama....Dada". I guess it was OK because we had a lot to do so we were ready to go bright and early each morning. Anna did great walking down the aisle, I walked with her and she threw a few flowers but when she got to the end she just dumped the whole basket out. Anna was a dancing machine at the reception and then passed out while we continued to dance the night away. So happy for Aunt Aimee and Uncle Chris. Can't wait for Christmas time!

This weekend we're headed out to do some family fall fun! Our church is having a fall festival and I also think we're going to try and get out to a local farm to see some animals and take a hayride. We finally have some nice fall weather (70's that is)!

October

This weekend we got to spend time with Elli and Maly, friends from daycare last year. They had spider fest at thier house where we made spider crafts and goodies. Here are the girls enjoying some cupcakes. When all other other kids left the table, Anna and Elli stayed and began to clean the plates of what others left behind. Who cares about playing when we can eat sweets! I guess you can tell they don't get sweets that often.

Anna taking a big 'ol bite

"See Mama, all done, can I take another bite now?"

Enjoying some sidewalk chalk on her belly

What an afternoon, passed out! Slept ti 7:45 the next morning.

Tomorrow is picture day at school so be on the lookout for Anna's snapshots. We'll see if she smiles or not. This afternoon she perfected her Jets cheer, "GO Jets!", super cute. This weekend Anna got to go to the park twice with Daddy, two different parks and was a champ at all the slides and swings. This week we're getting ready to head to DE for Aunt Aimee's wedding, soooo excited!
