14 Weeks

OK, so 2nd trimester it is.  Here is a picture of me with Anna at 14 weeks.

Here is a picture with Baby Law #2 at 14 weeks. I'm guessing you body is used to it and stretches easier...??? I'm  a lot better eating wise this time around since with Anna I just did whatever I wanted and ended up gaining 45 pounds, which took too long to work off.  I've been doing much better this time, so I'm hoping this is just early stretching and not fat!

We are wishful for a boy, but the most important thing is health. Greg is convinced that he will have all girls. Anywho, whatever little bugger is in there, he/she is 3 1/2 inches long, about the size of a lemon and weighs about an ounce and a half. His/her face muscles are getting a workout, they can squint, frown grimace and possibly suck their thumb.

Slacking

Yikes, 2 weeks without a post, sorry folks. Anna has been busy as usual, never stops talking, runs everywhere "i run fas", is loving everything Christmas, talks about Santa all the time but will not go anywhere near him, and much much more. We are very excited to have 2 weeks off together and can't wait to just relax and visit with family.

Shot # 56567, trying to get a nice photo. After every shot I take, Anna wants to see it and then it takes her another 10 minutes to get back into position.

OK World....

We are adding to the madness, here comes round 2! Ding ding! BL2 is due June 24, we are 3 months preggo and very excited. Same routine as last time, not going to find out. My biggest predicament right now is what to with the blog. I can't stand to change the name from 'Anna Caroline' because this is my little girls blog, her life, all her, but at the same time I certainly don't have the man power to do 2 blogs. So I think we are going to have to change it over to a family named blog. I need some fun suggestions (Blissfully Exhausted, you know, that type ). Thoughts???

PS: Anna wants a sister. I want a brother. Greg wants a healthy baby. Grandmas wants to know what it is. Tough luck!

Anna's World

Welcome to Anna's world...enjoy the ride,
Olio: open
tuh-tuh: Tuck the blankets in around me
Mit: Milk
Sy-de: Sydney
moof: move
Off: Means both off and on,.If she wants her jacket on, she'll hand you her jacket and say "off"
Freezer: Anything that comes out of the freezer is a waffle
Peas: As in 'piece', like, "Do you want a piece" when she's trying to share with you

Anna links 2 words pretty consistently now,  Mama sit, Daddy up, Sy-de no!, I eat, I color, touch it, eat please, bless you (super cute)
She calls Greg "Daddy" now instead of Dada and wants him all the time. Greg is LOVING it.

Hiccup

Last night Greg made Anna laugh so hard before we laid her in her bed that as we were on the couch we listened to her hiccup herself to sleep. Wonderful.

Is it over already?

Man, we love the weekends. Every Sunday night we get bummed because it's time for another week of work. Don't get us wrong, we love our jobs, but spending time with family and friends is much more enjoyable. Friday, Greg took a half day in the morning and took Anna to the doctors because she was still running a low grade fever and not eating, come to find out she has had strep this whole week. Wonderful! Anyway, she was put on an antibiotic and was ready to go out to dinner with Gram and Pop by the evening time.

On Saturday, we had our friends Jake's 1st birthday party to go to. Anna had a blast....with the food that is. From the moment we walked in she saw the appetizers and sat at the table and ate and ate and ate. When it was time for dinner, she ate even more. We finally were able to pry her away for gift opening and some play time. But once it was cake time, she was back at the table ready to eat again.

Sunday, we were awoken by the usual, "Mama......mama......" but after we didn't answer her, it was, "MAAAAAMAAAAAAA!". Attitude! We went to Mayfair early in the morning and were obviously the only ones not in church but rather trying to shop. Oh well. Here was our big purchase, we've been having some fits lately and Greg and I are trying to figure out what they're all about. This is foreign territory to us. So we'll begin to read this and see if we can at least know what's ahead of us. We also bought Anna her first piece of Patagonia wear....check out the hat!

When we got home it was nap time, Anna slept for about an hour and the woke up, so Greg took her on the couch and they both fell asleep again for another hour. I wanted to take a picture so bad but they were just so cute and peaceful that I didn't want them to wake up. Then it was time for some much needed home cooking and baking. Gram and Pop came over for the afternoon and brought pumpkins so we could carve them with Anna. Anna enjoyed filling the pumpkins back up with all the pulp. After we set them on the porch ready for Halloween (by the way, still won't go anywhere near her cow costume) we enjoyed some yummy food together and then some peach pie with ice cream. What a great way to end a weekend.

Fall Family Fun Weekend

We're working on calling them pumpkins....not apples. :)
