Weekend Edition

Anna loves her new boombox so much that she crawls right up on it and dances with her hands on the top and then makes the music stop. So I thought maybe if we put it up on a chair she would either leave it alone or dance on the chair instead. No such luck! She climbed right up on the books that we piled nearby, got those hands on top and started banging away. Nothing will stop this bit! 

Then we went to the park because it was spring weather outside! Anna had a blast on the swings. That's about all we could do, nothing else for a 10 month to do besides eat the wood chips. So we swang, and swang, and swang, and swang.....then wemt home. 

When we got home we decided to put the safety locks on the cabinets because miss priss has been pulling up on them then falling because the door swings open. So Daddy went to work and so did Anna. We thought she wasn't going to like the drill noise but she was a natural. She was a real big help giving Daddy the screws. Now we're all safe! 

Mayor Snaggle Thief

Oh, little Anna.  When i picked her up from daycare here are the 2 stories I was told...

1. Miss Anna only slept a total of 15 minutes today! She played and played and played and watched everyone all day, didn't want to sleep. So Greg and I named her the Mayor of the infant room. She's too busy making sure everyones having a good time, eating and playing. Makes for an interesting evening at home!

2. This story I believed because I saw her in action! Anna steals everyones sippy cups that drop on the floor. She's a fast bugger, she crawls right over once it's on the ground, picks it up and puts it directly in her mouth. So Nona nicely suggested that we send her with a cup so she can "suck" on her own. Even though she's not too good at getting the liquid out, we sent one anyways so she would stop stealing others. It came home completely full. 

And for the snaggle part, last night we discovered Anna's first top tooth! That's a total of 3 teeth, go girl. I can't wait for it to come in and see how cute she is with 2 bottom teeth and one top tooth. 

Love her to pieces! 

Stuck Under the Table

So after eating breakfast Anna decided to crawl around the kitchen as usual and was pulling up on all the chairs. Then she ventured under the table. After seeing me walk out of the kitchen Anna came to follow but couldn't find her way out.

"Hmmmm.....maybe I can go over this bar??"

"How in the world am I going to get out of here??"

"Maybe I can go under?"

After Anna got a bit frusterated I went under with her and showed her how to get out.

"Yay....I'm out from under that crazy mess of chairs!!"

Almost 10 Months

Miss Anna...

Has found her pointer finger and LOVES to use it. She uses it to push finger food around on her highchair tray, point things on our faces, feel things that interest her. It's just so stinkin' cute how she uses her hand and gets one finger ready to do something.

Had also realized that she has hair. The whole time at dinner she had her hands in her hair, playing, tugging, pulling, etc. Needless to say, food ended up in there as well. 

Is a speed crawler.She motors around the house and is quite adorable to watch. 

Got a new pink boom-box from Gram and Pop so she can listen to music in her room now while she plays with her toys. She loves the music and likes to dance. See her video below. (We need to get a bookshelf or something because as you can see she likes to dance ON the boom-box)

Snow Day!

Getting ready to go play in the snow! These are Mama & Daddy's mittens to keep me extra warm since there is A LOT of snow outside.

Oh Anna...

Well, it might not be the most pleasant thing to share but I'm going to share anyways. I guess Anna now knows when she needs to go to the bathroom because if she's crawling around she will find the nearest object that she can pull up on and do a little squat and then straaaaiiiiiin. And we can hear her from the other room too. I was in the kitchen with her and she crawled over to the bakers rack with all the cookbooks, pulled up, squatted and proceeded to strain. Greg heard her from the computer room and said, "Going to the bathroom?" and I said, "Yup, on the bakers rack". She's too much. 

The other thing that we have so much fun doing with Anna is trying to guess what she's saying. She just blabbers and blabbers, talks and talks like she's carrying on a conversation with us. So we just guess what she's saying and respond back. It's a lot of fun!

Christmas Visit

My Nanny and Nonny came to visit me this week and we had SO much fun! They gave me so much love and we played and played and played together all the days long. I pulled on Nanny's PJ bottoms while she was brushing her teeth....ha ha ha. Nanny & Nonny fed me me meals, got me out of my crib in the morning so Mama and Daddy could rest a little longer, went for long walks with me, went to the beach, and played outside. I love them SO much and can't wait to see them again.
