We were invited to Chris & Katie's pool today so we decided to see if Anna would like swimming....and she did!!! But she took it very seriously as you can see from the video. (Can't figure out how to rotate the video, sorry...just tilt your head)

First Day of School

There are no words for today......just a bunch of crying.

First Solid Food

So we were at a BBQ last night and Anna was grabbing at Daddy's plate of food while he was eating. Then today at Harris Teeter she was sucking on some cheese and we thought that maybe we'd try some rice cereal tonight for the first time. We weren't too sure how it would go since her tongue is still pushing everything out but as the video shows (darn thing won't load....still trying!!) she did quite well! We'll see how late she sleeps tonight. Oh yeah...after eating almost 1 Tbs of rice cereal she downed 6 oz of breast milk. Growing girl!!! 

What a day!

While Daddy was at work today Anna and I decided to splurge a little at Target.....

This is her new Jumperoo!!! She was getting quite antsy in her lamb chair and is always kicking her legs so we decdied to go ahead and buy the jumperoo for her to play in until she begins to sit and crawl on her own. What fun! It wasn't too much fun to put together. I did all I could, then Daddy came home and had to use his tools to finagle the rest. Jumperoo wasn't cooperating. Once it was all done, Anna had a BLAST in it! The book underneath is her little step stool because her legs can't reach the ground yet. 

Then we decided to go to the beach for the afternoon but once we walked all the way down there with chairs, umbrella, beach bag, yadda yadda...we sit down and start getting pelted with sand as the wind picked up. It was not relaxing at all, so we decided to pack it all back up and head to the park instead. 

Here's Anna in her first swing ride being pushed by Daddy. We think she was having fun. The puss on her face is because she was sleeping in the car and we had to wake her up, then I had to put stick sunscreen on her precious face and she was not happy with that either. So....this is the face we got. 

Here's another close up of miss priss waving hello as she flies through the air. We also went down the slide and played around the play ground pieces a bit. What a fun day we all had! In bed by 7:30!! Mama and Daddy soon to follow.
