Anna's dinner tonight: corn, ketchup, grapes. (There was chicken, pasta, and asparagus on her plate too, which she wanted nothing to do with)
We are very lucky to have a little girl who, when it's quiet and most kids are into something they shouldn't be, Anna is quietly sitting somewhere with a book. I love when it's quiet, I know exactly what she's doing.
Anna can identify her: nose, mouth, teeth, eyes, ears, hair, head, fingers, toes, belly.
She likes getting Mommy and Daddy's shoes for us and then putting them away when we don't need them.
Anna like to use her muscles and pretend she's opening something hard or moving furniture or something that requires grunting.
New signs: dance, ball, help, again

My Special Visit
Last week my Nanny and Nonny came all the way from NY to see me and stayed for 6 whole days! Guess the first thing we did when I woke up and they were there? READ BOOKS!
Then we went to the food store and Nanny bought me a pack of animal crackers (oh and yeah I also had a lot of food from the free samples, cheese, strawberries, bread, yum!)
Nanny dressed me in dresses each day and even slipped a barrette in my hair when I wasn't looking. I liked showing them how I hid in small spaces.
That night it was Mommy and Daddy's 4th anniversary so we went out to dinner. The nice waitress said that because I ate all my food I was allowed to have a cookie. DELICIOUS! I let everyone have a little taste.
We went to visit Uncle Ralph out in Burgaw and he let me ride on the go-cart, that steering wheel is super cool! I also watched Daddy play paintball with Joey. Go Daddy Go!
Nanny & Nonny took me to the aquarium over the weekend. I loved seeing all the animals.
Uncle Ralph, Aunt Kelly, Antonia and Joey came over for a BBQ and I got to sit with Antonia to eat dessert.
And we got to spend time at the beach!
Of course I showed off my piano skills
Nanny and Nonny took me back to school shopping
We visited my great grandma
And Nanny got a pretty good family photo as her last shot.
I miss and love you Nanny & Nonny!

Trying to Organize Books
We bought new book boxes from Target today because it was getting a bit ridiculous with them all scattered around the house. Here is book box #1 in the living room.
Book box # 2 in our room.
Book box #3 in the bathroom
Book box #4 & #5 in Anna's room
Book shelf #6 in the guest room
All worth it for this!

Our newest addition to the family
Welcome lovely piano! We love you! And we love Dad & Pop & Jamie for moving this 800 pound beast. A video to come of Anna playing.
Hmm....How do we get this in the door?
Oh, I know! Take the door off. Great idea!
Ta-Da! It worked.
Now we teach Anna the sign, so there is no "Ehh ehh ehh ehh"

Just some stuff
Dear Readers:
I went to the doctor last week with Mom and Dr. Horger said I was doing just perfect. I weigh 22.4 pounds, 50 percentile, I'm the average height of a 14 month old and my head is in the 75 percentile. He asked if I could say some words and I can! Book, dada, chick, mama, papa, Sydney, up, doctor. He asked if I can point to some body parts and I can! Nose, eyes, ears, hair, belly button. Speaking of belly buttons, Grandma told me I was "Cute as a button" this morning and I showed her where my belly button was, I'm not too sure what cute as a button means, but I I know my belly button! Anyway, my iron levels were good at the doctor, no more of that icky vitamin my mom was shoving down my throat each day. The nurse tried to put a band aid on my finger to try and stop the bleeding but I DO NOT like band aids and threw a fit. Finally Dr. Horger took it off for me and I was much happier. I even put my book in his face and he read it to me. What a nice guy! Side note: My mom bought me 4 new boxes of cute band aids, I don't know why she did that, I told her I don't like band aids and I'll just rip them off. Silly lady. If you ask me if I have poo-poo in my pants I can check and know where to look, but I don't know if I have it in there or not. Once I know, I think I can begin to learn how to use the potty. But speaking of potty, last night I had a sleepover at Gram & Pop's and after the bath I ran around the house naked and found a little cozy spot to hide in and went pee-pee on the floor. Oops! Good thing Gram & Pop thought it was cute. I think Mom said she is going to take me to the Children's Museum this week, I'm excited. We're also going to get ready for Vacation Bible School next week, now that's going to be fun. Also, on Wednesday my Nanny and Nonny are coming all the way from NY to see me. They will be here late Wednesday night so I will see them when I get up super early on Thursday morning. Good think Nanny wakes up early, extra play time with her. Look at what my Dad built this week. Isn't it cool? When we get home from the beach he takes me in here to wash off. I like the rocks the best.
Well, it's time for me to go shopping with Mom and Dad. Oh I forgot one more thing, I'm really good at giving Sydney treats. I fist tell her to sit, if she doens't listen, I push her bottom down, gently though. When she sits, I give her a treat and then rub her back and say "good girl". Then I ask mom for 1 more and do it again. I wish I could give Sydney ALL the treats but Mom says only 2 at a time.
Love, Anna
