All went well today at 8:30. We sat down with a lovely lady named Linda who did our history portion, asking us all sorts of questions. She also gave us a goody bag full of magazines, samples and other things I have yet to look at. We had Linda write in big letters on our file that when we return in 4 weeks WE DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE SEX OF THE BABY! We were told to remind the sonogram lady before she started. After that we went to see our primary doctor, Vicki Brown. She was very nice, chatted with us for a bit, then went to listen for BL's heartbeat. At first she couldn't find it, so of course I start to have heart failure but she reassured me that sometimes we need to change positions, so I laid completely down on the table and then YAY...the baby was found! BL was down low and we heard the little peanuts heartbeat going a mile a minute. Dr. Brown said it was somewhere in the 150's which is great. I wanted to ask her to keep the Doppler on BL forever just so I could sit there and listen, but I guess that would have been a little psycho of me. She couldn't keep the Doppler of the baby for long because it was moving all around. Dr. Brown said that at this point they are very mobile and when you push down there to find them they like to jet in another direction. Maybe BL will be a speedy soccer player? Ha ha.
I also found out that I tested positive for Group B Strep which means that I'll have to have an IV with antibiotics during labor, but she assured me that that was no big deal and that it's all hormonal. You could have Group B with one pregnancy and then not with the next.
We're headed back to the doc on October 15th for the fetal anatomy survey where they will check out all of BL's anatomy to see if they growing like they should be. We can't wait to see the little bugger!!!!
We're still looking for boy names...let us know if you think of anything.....but here are some rules, ha ha, middle name is James, so see how it sounds with that. We don't like names that have nicknames that take away from the real name, ex: Benajamin --> Ben, Timothy --> Tim. But we don't mind names like Tyler, who you could call Ty once in a while but their real name which they'll hear most often is Tyler.

Here's a trick that I learned from Misty to help with tightening pants....that way I can prolong buying maternity clothes, since I'm really not big, just dealing with tight pants
