Today when I picked Anna up from school I was told 3 wonderful stories.
Story 1: Anna dances like a hippie. She LOVES the music and waves her arms around in the air like a free spirit. We've seen this many times in her car seat when a song comes on that she feels compelled to move to.
Story 2: Her new trick is to stick her finger in other kids mouths. Robin told me she was worried about her getting bit and I told her the story of how Anna recently wanted to drink from a real cup but was jerking her head so far into the cut that she bumped her teeth and cut her lip and then didn't want anything to do with a real cup. I told Robin that if it's OK, let her get bit by another kid and she'll learn real fast that her finger doesn't belong in other peoples mouths. The good thing from all this, she learns quick!
Story 3: Elli and Anna are like 2 old ladies. They sit in the corner on these 2 soft cube things and just babble talk to each other. Robin said it's hilarious, they just sit and chat like girlfriends. I know how cute and funny it is to hear Anna talk to herself while she's playing or talking to Sydney, I can only imagine 2 13 month olds talking to each other. I hope they're friends for life.
Other Life Happenings:
When we ask Anna, "Where is______" she looks around and points to the person or in the direction. Greg was in the shower tonight and I asked Anna, where is Daddy? and she pointed to our room and proceeded to walk into the room and then towards the bathroom. When we ask her "Where is Sydney?" she usually looks around and slaps her leg for Sydney to come.
The other afternoon when Greg came home from work, I told Anna Daddy was home and she took off for the front door and squeals, "Dad-EEEEEE!" Super cute!
Tonight Anna did the sign for 'please' and 'bath'. Will try to get on video.
And last but not least, I think we are going to have a runner on our hands sometime soon. Last night when Pop left the room, Anna took off like a bolt of lightning. Greg and I just looked at each other and said, "did she just run?... oh boy!"
