We left this morning in hopes for a fun day exploring the Raleigh/Cary area and we had a great time! First we drove to Lake Johnson and rented canoes and explored the lake for the morning. We took a break and hiked in the woods and had a beautiful view. Then we ate lunch at the lake but the ducks/geese were staring at us the whole time.
Then we drove to Pullen Park for some afternoon fun. Pullen Park has A LOT to do for kids. We went on a train ride and a carousel ride then played at the 5 different playgrounds. Quinn enjoye the sand/water playground and Anna just liked finding kids to play with. And as usual Quinn became the shirtless wonder- at least he kept his bottoms on.
Next we checked into the hotel and went swimming in the pool- we have some serious water lovers on our hand, it was hrs getting them out after an hour of swimming. Greg and I splurged on a suite this vacation and it is totally worth it! We are currently in the living room right now watching tv while the kids are sleeping in the bedroom. And we ended our first day with Sweet Tomatoes for dinner - our favorite vacation spot.
Tomorrow we head to the zoo!
