Today was Anna's special day, we took her to Raleigh to see Sesame Street Live. We dropped Quinn off with Aunt Aimee & Uncle Chris (he had a special day too!) and headed off. When we got there we told Anna we were going to find somewhere to eat and she said, "OK, just drive on Raleigh road to find it". Silly girl. We ate at Chipotle and then headed over to the PNC arena. Here's Anna very excited for her show, even carried in her own ticket.
We had nice comfy seats and a little table in front - to eat our popcorn and cookie on of course!
And then Anna slept the entire way back to Wilmington.
We had a great time with our little lady, taught her some valuable lessons, and truly enjoyed seeing what a great child she is.
Lesson #1: Be thankful for what you have.
Of course they were selling all the paraphernalia that these events have, and the hot item was the glow wavy thing with elmo's face ($15!!!!!). Anna sees everyone waving their glow sticks around and asks Greg and I what they are. We walked by the stand that was selling everything 2-3 times and she didn't ask for anything, so we told her that those kids decided to bring them from home, since she didn't realize they were selling them there. She says, "Yeah, we have a light thing at home.....the flash light, we need to remember to bring that next time."
Lessons #2: Saving your own money
While we were sitting up top, Anna was able to see the floor seat section and there was A LOT of extra stuff going on down there that she wanted, the characters repeatedly went through the aisles and high fived the kids, there were a lot of glow wavy thingys, at intermission they sold huge Elmo balloons, at the end, confetti blasted out all over the crowd. Anna asked to go down there and we told her that our tickets were for our comfy seats up here where we could sit as a family and that the ones down there were extra money. As we were getting in the car afterwards, Anna says, "Next time when we come back tomorrow, we'll bring Quinn, and I have money in my piggy bank so we can go with those other kids"
