Two Great Weekends

We've had two super weekends back to back. Two weekends ago, Aim, I & the kids drove to VA for Jenna's High School Graduation. We met, Mom & Dad, the GG's, & the Lemmen family at Aunt Gret's for a fun filled weekend. On Friday we got there around 9:30 and stayed up much to late chatting. Saturday morning, We all went to Jenna's Graduation and Pop stayed home with a napping Quinn. When we got back it was party time! Anna had a blast hanging out with the ladies, Jenna, Mindy & Aunt MaryLou. Lots of fun! We spent the whole day and evening enjoying family. On Sunday morning, we  relaxed together drinking coffee on the front porch, then Aim & I packed it all up again and drove back to NC. Thanks to a great sister who helped wrangle 2 kids both ways.

Then this weekend, we rode the 13 mile Tour de Blueberry bike ride in Burgaw. After he ride, we went to the festival and ate too much blueberry ice cream.

Last year at this time, we only had Anna. I stayed back at the park and walked & squatted & walked & squatted, in hopes to get labor started! I was so hot & miserable, just wanted to have that baby! If I only new, it was going to be 6 more long days before his arrival.

Sunday morning was Father's Day and Greg went surfing to start his day off right. But before he could quietly get out the door at 6:22 am, both lovely children awoke. Anna ran to him and gave Greg her Father's Day presents from school along with Quinn's and then gave him our present and said, "Dad! Open up your hat!" Silly girl. We kept ourselves busy playing with the playhouse and making Daddy "I Love You" pancakes that he didn't get to eat in peace.

After breakfast, Anna & I went to church while Greg & Quinn took naps. Then it was beach time! A great day and Quinn is quite the water man - we are in for it this summer! After the beach we all headed back to Mom & Dad's for our regular Sunday evening BBQ's full of good food & laughs. Great weekend all around.

Now what the heck am I going to do with these 2 all week?!?!
